About Our Apostles

Apostle’s Christopher and Larinda J. King

End Time Commission is shepherded by our apostles: Christopher and Larinda J. King. They have served in ministry together for 10 years and their servant-leadership and marriage continues to edify the local body to this day. Passionate lovers and followers of Christ, the Kings teach the uncompromising Word of God and believe in accountability and transparency in the fellowship of believers. The Kings operate and train their leaders in the five-fold ministry of Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelists. Each of these ministerial gifts are vital to fulfilling the vision that God has laid out for this church and they have dedicated their lives to seeking the move of God and ushering all of His chosen into their greatness and destinies.

– Plant Churches: (1 Corinthians 3:10-11close1 Corinthians 3:10-11 10 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. 11 For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. – Appointing Leaders: (Acts 14:21-23closeActs 14:21-23 21 When they had preached the gospel to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra and to Iconium and to Antioch, 22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God. 23 And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed. – Fathering: (1 Corinthians 4:15-17close1 Corinthians 4:15-17 15 For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. 16 I urge you, then, be imitators of me. 17 That is why I sent you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ, as I teach them everywhere in every church. To be out of fellowship with their teaching is to be separated from God. The apostle’s doctrine was the final word from God.

– Suffer Affliction for the sake of the church: (2 Corinthians 1:5-6close2 Corinthians 1:5-6 For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. Apostles must be free to give themselves to prayer and ministry of the Word to constantly give vision from God: (Acts 6:2-4closeActs 6:2-4 And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, “It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables. But we will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” (ESV) closeActs 6:2-4closeActs 6:2-4 And the twelve summoned the full number of the disciples and said, “It is not right that we should give up preaching the word of God to serve tables. Prophets

What is the purpose of the prophets?

They were the teachers and evangelists of their day. They traveled and told of God. They emerged in the times when the priesthood failed God’s favor. He needed men and women of God to basically tell it like it is.  Their messages ranged from rebuking, repentance, and pleading so the people can return back to God.

Since we are End Time Commission, does this not sound familiar? Given these current times? Prophecy can come in various forms: Dreams, visions, at the present time (God just drop it in your spirit), and also through prayer. The more intimate that we are with God, the more He can trust us to give this pertinent type of information.

Prophets can violate God’s message in these ways:

  1. Not staying on our face (developing intimacy with God)
  2. Getting prideful in the fact that He used them to get His message across
  3. Being a mute (not speaking what He told us)
  4. Moving too fast (not waiting on God’s timing)
  5. Moving too slow (delayed obedience)

An effective prophet has an healthy and intimate personal relationship with our Father.

Pastors/Teachers

The Role of Pastors

To be a Pastor is to be a shepherd. To do the work of shepherding is to be deeply involved in the growth of others. To shepherd is to watch over the lives of others. To shepherd is to care for the well being of others.

Pastors must be careful not to be bogged down in the work of the administration and deacons. Building lives and unlocking the gift and talents of leaders is the true work of Pastors.

King David – Just an Ordinary Shepherd

King David was an awesome picture of a shepherd. When a bear or lion came after his flock, he fought against it until he delivered it out of the beasts mouth. That is how pastors must be with the people concerning Satan’s attacks. He also took three hundred men who were in debt, in distress, and in discontent (1 Sam 22:2close1 Samuel 22:2 And everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was bitter in soul, gathered to him. And he became captain over them. And there were with him about four hundred men. (ESV) close1 Samuel 22:2close1 Samuel 22:2 And everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was bitter in soul, gathered to him. And he became captain over them. And he became captain over them. And there were with him about four hundred men. (ESV) ) and from them formed the mightiest warriors in history (David’s Mighty Men). How? By being the only thing he knew how to be: a shepherd (pastor). Individual and careful attention is needed for each person of the flock.

Compassion is also needed to be a pastor. Without it you will not see or care about the people’s needs. Jesus saw the spiritual and physical needs of the people and was moved with compassion to meet their needs.

Times where Jesus was moved with compassion:

  • Matt 9:36
  • Matt 14:14
  • Mark 1:41closeMark 1:41 41 Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” (ESV) closeMark 1:41closeMark 1:41 41 Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” (ESV) 41 Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand and touched him and said to him, “I will; be clean.” (ESV)

Accountability System

Pastors also need to be submitted to the guidance of the apostles, the correction of the prophets, and the accountability of the elders. A group of trusted people is needed to keep pastors covered and accountable so that they do not walk in anything ungodly. Evangelists

What is Evangelism?

  • Comes from the Greek word “euvangelion”, meaning “good news”.
  • In essence, evangelism is the action of the Body of Christ telling the lost about the gospel of salvation. Those who do this work are evangelists.
  • Evangelists are vital for the reproductive health of the Church. Without new souls, the local body would grow stagnant and die.

Commanded by the Word:

(Matt.28:18-20)

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

            – The Great Commission, by which our name is called, is at the very core a commandment to evangelize and make disciples.

Possible Only By The Holy Spirit

(Acts 1:8closeActs 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (ESV) closeActs 1:8closeActs 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (ESV) But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” (ESV) )

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

            – The Holy Spirit empowers His people to be evangelists. Without Him, true evangelism would be impossible.

Not Done by Our Own Efforts

(Acts 10:42-44closeActs 10:42-44 42 And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. 43 To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles 44 While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. “He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” While

Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.”

In obedience, evangelists preach the gospel, the Holy Spirit is the one that draws those who will come to salvation.

A Gift From Christ for His Body

(Ephesians 4:8, 11-12closeEphesians 4:8 Therefore it says, “When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”

Therefore He says: “When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men […] And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…”

– The work of the evangelist is no less important than that of the apostle, prophet,  or pastor. They all serve the same function: to equip the saints and edify the Body so that Christ’s work can continue on the earth until He returns.
